THE WOKE CULT (AND MORMONISM) - DRAFT

This article is in the draft stages and will become a video it in its final form.

I grew up in a devoted Mormon household, immersed in the unique ideology of the faith. However, as I matured, I was fortunate enough to break free from its grasp and embrace the diverse tapestry of the real world. This profound shift in my worldview has bestowed upon me a remarkable insight into the human psyche, enabling me to empathize with individuals whose perspectives may initially seem alien to me. Through my experiences, I've come to realize that while each belief system may appear distinct, they all share a fundamental, archetypal foundation that ties them together in the intricate fabric of human spirituality.

There is something about the woke ideology that always felt uncanny to me. It felt familiar in a way that gave me a sense of anxiety and nostalgia. Through years of peeling back the layers of this feeling, the realization to which I arrived is that at their cores, these two seemingly unique ideologies were anchored to the exact same psychological mechanisms. This sense of familiarity and disquietude extended beyond mere intellectual discomfort and became a persistent presence in my daily life, leading me to question the very foundations of my beliefs and values.

Mormonism and the concept of being "woke" share intriguing parallels in their spiritual components. Both emphasize a belief in a spirit, highlighting the idea that certain aspects of our personalities or existence are fundamentally spiritual manifestations. This common ground offers a captivating intersection worth delving into.

Defensiveness: Some individuals exhibit a tendency to react defensively when confronted with ideas that challenge their preconceived notions. This defensive stance stems from a perception that divergent viewpoints may pose a threat, leading them to advocate for the suppression and avoidance of such ideas.

Quick to Dismiss/Cancellation - In either scenario, if you don’t toe the line appropriately or fail to meet the expected standards, you will be effectively removed from your cohort and banished to Siberia, figuratively speaking. The consequences of not adhering to the guidelines are severe, leading to expulsion from the group without hesitation.

Tithing and similar practices within woke movements place immense pressure on their members to contribute significantly, despite only benefiting the collective or top level of the movement. This setup implies that while individuals exert themselves, the fruits of their labor primarily flow to the upper echelons of the organization, leaving the contributing members with limited personal gain.

Belief in God. The average woke will probably tell you they are secular and believe in no god. In-spite of that, there is certainly some higher idea that acts as a guiding light for them. As far as I can reason, this is the intersectional identity and victimhood. Inversely, you could say the Woke God is power. Power over their compatriots.
